From a stroll through the scenic valleys and meadows to a trek through the rugged and wild landscape, it’s a dream destination for both adventurous and laid-back travelers. This is what I should describe about Wales. I had always thought of Wales as a gentle and sleepy area filled with pleasant hills and valleys, sheep-dotted meadows and the general romantic landscape. A place an older or more mature traveler may enjoy for the laid-back and easy pace. When I finally visited, there was everything I expected, from the pleasant hills to the fleece bearing herbivores in abundance. But what is more striking is the exhilaration feeling that one gets when experiencing Wales. Walking, quad biking, horseback riding, co steering or canoeing your way through this stunning land is truly thrilling.
There are of course, so many ways of enjoying this country. From windsurfing or sailing at Cardigan Bay to trekking through the rugged and wild landscape of Northern Wales, an ancient land echoing with legends and stories. To try and describe a journey through Wales, I remember a performance by Catrin Finch, a Welsh harpist who has reinvented the image of this traditional instrument. She strums the harp like a rock star walking around the stage with it slung around her, gripping the audience with her steer skill and style. Wales is much like Catrin and her harp. It’s an absolute and unexpected thrill all around this country.
There are so many reasons to visit Johannesburg. Johannesburg is the city of gold. When it was created out of thin air in the late 19th century, it was little more than a mining camp. Cut to a century and a half later, Johannesburg is a pumping, throbbing metropolis, the commercial capital of South Africa, seven million people strong and undoubtedly the cultural heart of the country. Yes, there is more to Johannesburg than cricket, and even if that’s the reason that takes you there is summer, don’t let that prevent you from exploring its non-sporting delights. Johannesburg is green-very green.
A favorite local story is that, when viewed from satellite, Johannesburg resembles a rain forest. Johannesburg is the jewel in South Africa’s crown, the New York, of south and even southern Africa. Driving in Johannesburg is a pleasure. The highways and the roads are superbly maintained and often of a higher standard than anywhere in the west. Directions are marked clearly and, since South Africa is a driving nation, all the conveniences afforded to drivers are in place at frequent intervals-rest stops, ATMs, restaurants and gas stations. Johannesburg is the best place for shopping, driving and having a good night fun. The natural wildlife will treat your eyes.
Snorkeling is a swimming activity that involves a lot of fun and adventure. Snorkeling allows the swimmers to view the marine life and corals under water by floating in the surface and experience the delight of natural beauty. The swimmers will be provided with special snorkeling apparatus called the snorkel which is nothing but a tube used for breathing, dive mask with which you can view the surface underwater and the fins for swimming on the surface of water. Snorkeling is carried out in many tourist destinations such as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Hawaii islands, Fiji islands, Seychelles islands, Caribbean islands, etc.
Snorkeling can be carried out in any of the beaches and coastal areas but clear visibility is ensured only in open waters. Besides day snorkeling, there is another kind of snorkeling called the night snorkeling that enables you to have a look at the marine creatures that come out only during night. Snorkeling has also certain risk factors and the major risk involved is the hazardous marine creatures such as sea urchins, moray eels, etc. There are also possibilities to get sun burns at you back and in the body due to the temperature of water. It is necessary that you wear suitable clothing depending on the climatic condition in the spot, either to protect yourself from sun burns or to bear the chillness of water. Snorkeling can be fun and the tourists can explore the beauty of nature underwater.
